Pondering over the discussion topic (No.1) made me think the following.....
My children will only ever know this technology (PC's, software, mobile phones, iPods etc)
By the time mine are old enough to have such ICT's, the technology will have moved further on, be made faster, more tactile, easier in use and implementation.

ICTs are faster than we expected! We just pick something we interested in and neccessity for ourselves. If you are familiar to the functions your mobile phone, PC, email system and search engines then you are not too old to ICTs. :) I often see my mother and parents-in-law via MSN and Skype they are fifty something.
I agree that the pace of progress is so fast but, like Joan, I think most people are keeping up pretty well.
I think the technology is actually getting simpler. TVs are far easier to set up than they used to be (remember trying to tune in separate channels?) and hard disk recorders just do it all for you.
That's true! That's why there are plenty of new brands and models are coming out every week to attract more people using ICTs. Once technology is easier and simpler, then market becomes bigger to different kinds of user with different ages. Who will appreciate that??
